Your safety comes first, at every step
Most clients are genuine and respectful, but knowing the warning signs and how to protect yourself lets you work with confidence and peace of mind.
Rule one: never pay for a job opportunity
A real client pays you, not the other way round. Any request for a registration or application fee, a mandatory photo shoot or a course as a condition of selection is a clear sign of a scam, however tempting the offer looks.
Premium on ModelGo is a personal choice you make for extra features; no client can make it a condition.
Check out the client before you agree
Before accepting any job, look at the client's profile on the platform, their reviews and past castings. Search for the brand or company elsewhere and make sure their official accounts are real and active.
- Are the company's name and city clear?
- Is the job description detailed and reasonable?
- Is the fee realistic, or suspiciously high?
Keep chats and agreements on the platform
Chats on the platform are a record that protects you: they hold what you agreed and can be checked if a dispute comes up. Someone who pushes you onto a private number from the very first message often wants to avoid any oversight.
Protect your personal data
Never put your ID number, home address or bank details on your profile, and share only what's needed once a booking is confirmed, through secure channels. Never give anyone your password or a verification code you receive, whatever the excuse.
Staying safe on shoot day
A few simple steps give you real peace of mind, especially with a client you're working with for the first time.
- Bring someone you trust.
- Share your location and expected return time with your family.
- Prefer known studios and public places.
- Arrange your own transport.
- Leave straight away if you feel uncomfortable.
Common scams to know
Scams keep changing shape, but most rely on urgency and temptation. Stop and think before any step that asks you to pay money or share data.
- Accounts impersonating a well-known brand.
- An overpayment sent to you, followed by a request to send back the difference.
- A deposit request to reserve wardrobe or a shoot location.
- An unrealistically high fee for a simple job.
Use the report and block tools
If you get a suspicious message or an inappropriate request, block and report the sender through the platform, and don't delete the chat; it's evidence that helps our support team. If you ever feel your safety is at risk, contact the authorities immediately through the official emergency numbers.

Frequently asked questions
It might be, but check the client and the job details carefully. If you're asked for any payment or bank details before the job, stop and report it.
Not at all. It's a normal, professional request that genuine clients understand. If someone refuses firmly for no good reason, take note.
Document it with screenshots and links, check what you agreed in the platform chats, then contact our support team. If needed, you can seek legal advice.
It's best not to. Use the platform's messages and share your number only if needed after a booking is confirmed.
