Working Riyadh Season events: a practical checklist for hosts and promo staff
As Riyadh Season approaches, demand grows for event hosts, guest-relations teams, brand ambassadors and talent for live shows. The work is fun and rewarding, but it means long hours and dealing directly with the public, and that takes good preparation.
Before you accept the offer
- Ask about daily hours, the number of days and break times.
- Confirm the nature of the role: guest relations, stage hosting or product promotion.
- Ask what the dress code is and who provides the outfit.
- Check how and when you will be paid, ideally all through a documented booking on the platform.
Your event-day bag
- A spare pair of comfortable shoes, because hours on your feet are a given.
- A water bottle and a light snack.
- A power bank and your ID.
- A copy of the event schedule and the coordinator's contact numbers.
On the job
Remember that you are the face of the brand or organiser for the whole event. Stay calm and friendly, treat visitors with respect, and hand any difficult situation to your supervisor instead of dealing with it alone.
If you are hosting on stage, ask for the script at least two days ahead and practise saying sponsor and guest names out loud.
After the event
Ask the organiser to leave a review on your ModelGo profile, and add photos from the event if you are allowed to. Good reviews from major events open the door to bigger offers in the seasons that follow.
